Kids Yoga for Mindfulness and Relaxation
Create the space for kids to grow up with mindfulness, self-confidence, compassion, and creativity. Kids explore movement and breath in a supportive and non-competitive environment by practicing strengthening, stretching, relaxing, and letting go. Yoga poses and meditation are taught through story-telling, creative games, exercises, and arts and crafts projects.
Yoga for Young Athletes
Enhance sports skills by improving balance, core strength, focus, and flexibility. Studies have shown that athletes can benefit by cross-training and adding yoga to their training regimen. This routine works on flexibility, balance, agility, endurance, core, and overall strength. These tools help prevent injury and aid in recovery. Mindfulness exercises and breath-work help focus, pre-game jitters, team comradery, and mind/body awareness.
The Goldie Hawn Foundation is a not-for-profit organization created in response to the global epidemic of childhood aggression, anxiety, depression and suicide. Based firmly in neuroscience, MindUP gives children the knowledge and tools they need to manage stress, regulate emotions and face the challenges of the 21st century with resilience.
